¿Quién es Tysen Canfield?

Tysen Canfield is an actor from Watertown, South Dakota, best known for his award-winning villainous role as Pretentious Piggy in The Grooks II. The younger brother of director Carter Canfield, Tysen Canfield was attached to The Grooks II early in production but only for a small role; however, due to fan approval and his performance, the role was expanded, becoming the film’s primary antagonist. In 2024, Canfield and business partner Wyatt Kruger established Crux and Acronix Films, a film company studio. Together the pair purchased the rights to produce a sequel/soft reboot of Lausey Film’s The Creature of Memorial Park (2020). This sequel is set enter pre-production in late 2024.

In July 2024, Crux and Acronix Films was acquired as a subsidiary by I29 Entertainment with both Tysen Canfield and Wyatt Kruger retaining creative control. Their sequel is still in the early planning phase.

For his role as Pretentious Piggy, Canfield took home the award for Best Supporting Actor at the 2nd Lausie Award Ceremony, marking him as the first winner in a major category to win for their first acting credit. Today, Canfield is rumored to return in The Grooks III.
