Namiko Ishidate
¿Quién es Namiko Ishidate?
With an aim to immerse herself in the tradition of Japanese animation, she worked at P.A. Works and Studio Colorido as a character designer, animation director and key animator on projects including the McDonald’s campaign “My Future” (未来のワタシ, Mirai no Watashi).
In 2018, she embarked on her M.A. in the Department of Animation at Tokyo University of the Arts to create personal works that explore her experiences with facing and overcoming emotional trauma.
After completing graduate school, she joined Netflix and became the first creator of the newly established Netflix Anime Creators' Base in 2021, where she created designs and concept arts for various projects.
Since April 2022, she has been expanding her activities as a freelance animation artist.
