At age 16, she was discovered by the top modeling agency in Spain, Traffic, and quickly signed by other international agencies including Ford in NYC and Storm in London. She appeared in International fashion magazines, such as Vogue, Glamour, Marie Claire and Jalouse.
In 2005, during her first summer working in Paris, Dior representatives taken by the singular beauty of her face offered her a contract for the DIOR cosmetics campaign of Spring/Summer 2006. Denise continued to model under the name Denise Sommers.
Her first break came through a role in Manolete (2008) the film starring Oscar nominated Penelope Cruz and Oscar winner Adrien Brody.
